Our Staff

Our staff at Young Vision Care is well trained and focused on making your patient experience a personal one.  All members of our staff attend continuing education classes throughout the year in areas of spectacle lenses, contact lenses and eyewear design.

The office culture at Young Vision Care is one of excellence in patient care and personalized service. We believe and practice doing the right thing to make your experience a good one with long lasting happiness, eye health and optimal vision.

Young Vision Care Staff

Jill Ganoung

Jill joined the YVC team in May 2010. She runs the front desk, checking patients in, works with insurance, and occasionally does pretesting. She enjoys working with the friendly patients and enjoys learning new techniques in Optometric testing. Her training includes a medical terminology course as well as a certification in Dental Assisting. Her favorite product is the autograph lenses we carry.

Jill and her husband Dave have three children- Joe, Sara and Kelly. They also have three horses- Buddy, Dazzle, and Lucy, two dogs- Shadow and Trixie and one cat named Cali. They live in the area because they enjoy the people, family support and the numerous activities in the community. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her horses, sewing and cross stitch.

Judy Johnson

Judy also joined the Young Vision Care Staff in May 2010. As a pretester, Judy enjoys working with and talking to the patients. She has over 20 years of medical office experience. Vision is an important part of her life because almost everything we do every day is visual. She feels that Young Vision Care’s medical exams are more comprehensive than the “other guys” and our products are top of the line.

Judy and her husband Jim live in Plattsmouth with their cats Gracie and Oscar. Her hobbies include reading, crocheting and jewelry making. She also teaches Sunday School at her church. 

Elizabeth (Beth) Joyce

Beth has been working at Young Vision Care since 2005 and loves getting to know her co-workers and people in the community. She helps with patient care, pretesting, special testing (including Photos, Visual Fields & OCT Scans) lab ordering, and lab dispensing. Beth’s favorite product at our office is the selection of rimless glasses.

Beth lives in Glenwood with her husband Mike and has four boys: Nicholas, Justin, Blake and Zachary. She has Krissy the “Marshmallow” dog. She lives in Glenwood and likes that it’s close to Omaha, but yet small enough to get to know people. In July of 2011 Beth, Mike, and son Zach went on a mission’s trip through CVM (Christian Veterinary Mission) to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. While they were there Beth got to work at a local Orphanage while her husband Mike did veterinary work at the University helping the Bolivian people in the Andes Mountains.

Natalie McEwen 

Natalie joined the Young Vision Care staff 2006. She handles all of the bookkeeping and payroll for Dr. Young. Currently, she is enrolled at Iowa Western Community College for Human Resources Management. To Natalie, vision is important because of her young children that depend on her to color, read stories and play. Without her vision, these simple tasks would be difficult.

Natalie and her husband Dave have four children: Olivia, Reilly, Annie Jo & Madilyn and a German Shepherd named Lucky as well as a cat also named Lucky. They live in Glenwood because they enjoy the small town atmosphere. Natalie grew up here and she wants her kids to do the same. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, taking pictures, cooking, and reading. She also loves to watch the Outdoor Hunting channel with her husband - she’s never hunted before but finds it interesting. Natalie and her family are members of Bible Baptist Church in Glenwood.

Shawn Mihulka

Shawn is the Insurance Coordinator for Young Vision Care. She also keeps the office operational by being primary contact for the computer system, special equipment, phone and other systems. She has special training in Legal Science and computer software, and was on the other side of the desk in the insurance industry for 15 years.

Shawn and her husband Rick have a menagerie of dogs, cats, birds and fish. Shawn has one grown son, Eric. In her spare time Shawn enjoys remodeling the house, gardening, her pets, computers, and of course shopping. Shawn’s community involvement includes volunteering herself and her spouse when necessary. She feels that it is very important to learn something new on a daily basis.

Heather Newman 

Heather has worked at our office for three years. As an office assistant her job duties include our window displays, keeping the website up to date and functioning, as well as doing anything that helps advance our office. Heather also works as an Optometric Technician, pretesting our patients.  Her favorite part about her job is working with people she really likes, and meeting all kinds of new people. Her favorite product we care are daily contacts, and her GUNNARS. She is currently going through school for Dental Assisting, and her Associates degree.

Heather lives in Glenwood with her Miniature Pinchers, Doby and Zoey. She likes Glenwood because it’s a small town with lots of traditions you don't see often. Heather enjoys helping her grandmother with her downtown beautification projects in Atlantic, as well as keeping active, and spending time with her loved ones.

Stephanie Seeley

Stephanie has been a part of the Young Vision Care family for 12 years. She consults with patients and educates them about their eyewear. She has over 30 years experience in the field and also has a certification in free form lenses. Stephanie loves getting to know all of the patients and wants to thank those who over the years have become friends and trusted Young Vision Care with their visual needs.

Stephanie and her husband Dan have two boys: Mike, who is currently serving in the United States Navy, and Mark, who attends Glenwood Community High School. They live in Glenwood and love it because it is a friendly town with a close-knit community and says it has been a great place to raise her children. 

Kim Williams 

Kim has been with Young Vision Care since 2008. Her job duties include special testing (OCT’s & Photos), bookkeeping, insurance, filing, advertising and tech support. The most rewarding part of her job is seeing the appreciation expressed by patients for the thorough job done by all of the staff. Her training includes a BS in Banking, a BS in Finance and several courses in Photography. As a glasses wearer, her favorite product our office offers is the wide selection of frames with clip on sunglasses.

Kim and her husband Steve live in Glenwood with their two pets Riley and Gabby. They have an adult daughter, Derrin, who is currently attending University of Lincoln . Kim's hobbies include photography, reading and growing culinary herbs. Vision is important to Kim because her hobbies are sight dependent, so not having the appropriate correction for both distance and near is vital to her enjoyment. 

Kelly Nantz

Kelly started working at Young Vision Care over 1 year ago. She recently moved to this area from Indianapolis, Indiana so she could attend school and be closer to her family. She is currently providing office assistance, and pretesting. Kelly enjoys working here because everyone is very friendly and it shows how much they enjoy their job. She feels that we make a great team!

Kelly lives in Glenwood with her son Noah. They have Sacha the Russian Tortoise, Butter Cup the leopard gecko, a dog, and 2 fish. She enjoys are exercising, shopping, and cooking. Kelly is a part time student at Iowa Western Community College, majoring in Nursing. She loves that the community is so family friendly.

Amber Cullison 

Amber works as an Optometric Technician, pretesting our patients, and doing various special tests we have throughout our office. Amber enjoys getting to know the patients and assisting the process of giving them the best vision care possible.

Amber comes from a big family and enjoys working with people. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in education from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City in 2011. Amber enjoys reading, cooking, spending time with family and working with the teenagers at Bible Baptist Church.

Robert Cullison

Robert works with consulting patients on eyewear, as well as fixing, ordering and dispensing glasses ordered from the lab. Robert enjoys helping our patients get what they were looking for, ensuring they leave very impressed with their service. Robert has been working in the eye care field for the past 2 years, and decided to join Young Vision Care in February of 2012 working along side his wife Amber. 

Robert and Amber were married in May 2011. They moved to Glenwood in June 2011 from Kansas. Robert graduated from Heartland Baptist Bible College in Oklahoma City in 2010. He enjoys exercising and being outdoors. Robert earned the rank of Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts in 2004. Robert is also the associate Pastor at Bible Baptist church in Glenwood.

Angie Radford

Angie works as one of our insurance coordinators, as well as helping with pretesting of the patients. Angie enjoys working with the patients and dealing with insurance. Angie has worked handeling insurance claims in the past, and started working here in January.

Angie lives here in Glenwood with her husband Rob and their sons Michael and Jacob. She is currently working on earning her associates degree in Health Information Mangement through Metropolitan Community College.
